About Green Light Literary

Maura K. Phelan
Green Light Literary + Media, LLC is owned and operated by Maura K. Phelan. For years she worked in the heart of trade publishing, including as a VP of Sales at Random House, Inc. After returning to the Boston area, Maura held positions at digital content platforms and a marketing strategy firm. Maura maintains the contacts she made with independent bookstores, book distributors and other publishing insiders. She is delighted to be using these connections, once again, to work with writers, booksellers and publishers.
Maura holds a Bachelor of Arts in American Literature from Middlebury College and she attended the Radcliffe Publishing Course. She frequently travels to New York City where she spends time with extended family, friends and publishing colleagues.
Maura lives and works in Marblehead, Massachusetts. She served as a trustee for the Abbot Public Library for nine years and is currently a board member at the Marblehead Museum. She enjoys reading, yoga, cooking, fly-fishing and other outdoor activities.
Known for honesty and enthusiasm, Maura supports and empowers her authors by sharing every step of the publishing process with them. She and her team are dedicated to assisting writers achieve their desired professional goals.

Green Light is a not-so-subtle reference to the great American novel, The Great Gatsby, which is lauded for an incandescent writing style and its theme of reaching to attain the American dream.
